The Grand Ma Cooking project is a project funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund. The cooking project is focused on young grand mothers from African background sharing their stories with young Africans in Bolton, on the impact migration had on their favorite traditional African foods and how they have been able to adjust living here in the United Kingdom. The interview sessions gave opportunity for the young participants to ask the grand mothers questions regarding their favorite recipies and the impact migration has had on these recipies. These sessions were exciting and were conducted both in the homes of the particpants and also in a studio, when home interview session were not priactical. We would like to say a big thank you to the Heritage Lottery Fund for their support to making this project a reality.
