The current Pandemic has placed an unprecedented financial and psychological pressures on families especially within the young people from ethnic minority communities. Most of them have to rethink the kind of jobs they do in order to be able to provide for their families due to multiple closures of businesses and also the prospect of some category of jobs at risk of extinction post pandemic.
As a step to help retool members of the community so they can be able to learn new skills, Bolton CDP has been organising series of training sessions that will help residents acquire new skills like Business Analysis, Cyber security, Coding etc.
It has been a richly rewarding sessions and participants have been very happy and are currently using their new skills to secure new jobs and most especially being self employed.
We we are most grateful to our partners especially the Community Fund for their support to making this a reality.
