BCDP African Project update.

The Africa project of BCDP is aimed at utilizing the asset based community development (ABCD) principles of community development to address issues affecting Africans living in Bolton Borough of Greater Manchester.

We have been facilitating series discussions with key stake holders representing Africa community and Africa interest organisations, to look at issues around health and children safeguarding. Today’s (22-8-16) meeting we had the privilege of hosting CLLr Akhtar Zaman, cabinet member for development, regeneration and HR Bolton Council. He talked about strategies for developing a more cohesive African presence in Bolton in order to help narrowing the health inequality gap.
