Who We Are
Bolton Community Development Partnership (Bolton CDP) is a driving force behind inclusive, sustainable change in Bolton and across the United Kingdom. We bring together residents, businesses, community groups and local leaders to build a fairer, stronger and greener future for all – with particular focus on empowering ethnic minority communities, young people and disadvantaged groups.
Our Objectives
Bolton CDP is committed to improving the health and wellbeing of members of the ethnic minority groups through:

Training and retraining of members of the ethnic minority groups to play active roles and contribute positivel to leadership opportunities at all levels of society.

Training and retrainig of members of the ethnic minority groups in entreprenuership in order to develop local economy and raise local aspirations and wellbeing.

Enabling members of the ethnic minority groups to develop confidence and access to opportunities through volunteering

Creating awareness and advocacy to promote health and wellbeing of members of the ethnic minority groups through workshops, seminars and campaigns.

Actively engaging members of the ethnic minority groups on enviromental development projects.

How we work:
Bolton CDP is dedicated to making sure that citizens are the center of community development. We achieve this by;

Gathering stories from the community residents, on how they were able to collectively achieve success in a past community challange.

What is available within the community. Both human and non human assets.

Linking and mobilising the identified community assets, towards meeting the identified need.

Citizens of the community leading on community initiatives and utilising the mobilised assets

Identifying and mobilising other partners both local and external in order to support the citizen lead initiatives.
